During Microsoft’s fall event on September 21, the tech giant showcased its revamped Surface lineup, with the much-anticipated Surface Laptop Studio 2 taking center stage.
This new iteration boasts the prowess of a 13th-gen Intel Core processor, paired with a dedicated artificial intelligence processor that aims to weave AI into your workflow. This includes the incoming Windows Copilot set to launch on September 26.
Anticipating a synchrony with the Windows 11 23H2 feature update, Microsoft gears up for an integrated experience.

Retaining its hallmark pull-forward display design and high-quality speakers from its predecessor, the Surface Laptop Studio 2 packs a punch in the performance department.
It’s powered by a 13th-gen “Raptor Lake-H” processor and includes Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 and 4060 discrete GPUs, making it a capable companion for content creators.
Notably, an AI chip, the Intel Gen3 Movidius 3700VC VPU AI Accelerator, finds its place in this device, promising to enhance AI features within Windows 11.

Microsoft has also expanded the internal memory and storage options for the Surface Laptop Studio 2. Users can opt for configurations with 16GB, 32GB, and even 64GB of RAM, while LPDDR5 memory technology ensures smooth operations. As for its storage, it comes in 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB.
While the notebook’s chassis retains its familiar form, Microsoft has made two subtle yet practical tweaks: the inclusion of a USB-A port and a microSD card slot, providing for varied connectivity needs.
For those seeking rapid expansion, Thunderbolt 4 ports are available, alongside the trusty Surface Connect port. Wireless options are WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.

Notably, Microsoft has opted to offer only Windows 11 Home, with no provisions for Windows 10 or Windows 11 Pro options.
Adding to the mix, Microsoft also introduced the Surface Laptop Go 3 and the Surface Go 4 for Business, aiming to cater to a broader spectrum of users.
For those eager to get their hands on the Surface Laptop Studio 2, pre-orders have already begun, with prices ranging from US$1,999 to US$3,699 with shipping commencing on October 3.
