By Nicole Rodrigues, 04 Oct 2023

Crypto wallet provider Ledger and auction house Sotheby’s have joined forces to extend exclusive benefits to digital art collectors.
Starting in 2024, purchasers of valuable digital pieces at Sotheby’s will receive a limited-edition Ledger x Sotheby’s Nano X hardware wallet. This partnership also includes Ledger introducing a special edition of the Ledger Stax.
For Sotheby’s elite collectors, Ledger will facilitate premium “white-glove concierge onboarding,” integrating them into the Ledger Academy’s educational resources. The ultimate goal is to introduce the next generation of collectors to the web3 world while ensuring the secure preservation of digital artwork.

Ledger has previously developed an NFT Art collection and established a fund to support artists worldwide. Meanwhile, Sotheby’s aims to bolster security standards in the digital art space through Ledger’s hardware wallets and educate collectors about the importance of secure self-custody.
Sotheby’s also has a dedicated NFT and digital art department, as well as a secondary market platform named Sotheby’s Metaverse. The partnership with Ledger is the next step in creating a comprehensive digital art environment within Sotheby’s for collectors.
