While it’s typically ill-advised to mix business with pleasure, sometimes, it can work out for good.
Sexual wellness brand Smile Makers is merging the two with Audioboobs—a series of short, sensual audio stories released to empower women to prioritize their breast health while embracing their pleasure.
It’s no secret that breast cancer awareness is crucial. According to the World Health Organization, in 2020, there were 2.3 million women diagnosed with breast cancer and 685,000 deaths globally.
As such, Audioboobsaims to encourage women to conduct regular breast self-examinations through the captivating power of storytelling.
With weekly releases on Spotify, the collection features five stories in total. Each story intertwines the art of storytelling with breast self-examination instructions cleverly woven into risqué plotlines.
By seamlessly blending pleasure and breast health, the initiative aims to empower women to take charge of their own well-being.
The first story in the series, titled A Galaxy of Our Own, is already available for listeners to enjoy, while the second release, aptly named Chest of Secrets, is set to be released on November 1, 2023.
Created in collaboration with creative agency MullenLowe Singapore and production house Nacho Usual Collective, it’s notable that Audioboobs has taken care to ensure its audio tales are inclusive and queer-friendly.
Listeners will be treated to tales covering a spectrum of sexualities so that all listeners feel represented and included. By embracing diverse narratives, breast health is presented as a universal concern that transcends boundaries.
Samantha Marshall, Smiles Makers’ head of brand, told Campaign Brief Asia that usually, “discussions around breast self-examinations remain taboo or overlooked” for most people.
In order to encourage more regular checks, the company decided to bring breast and sexual health together in a “revolutionary approach to make the process of self-examination an enjoyable and empowering experience.”
