‘ParentGPT’ Is New Oracle Providing Answers To Queries From Childcare To Divorce
By Alexa Heah, 30 Oct 2023
Navigating the world of parenting can be a daunting task, especially when seeking guidance online. Parents can often find themselves stuck between finding useful advice and feeling overwhelmed by the surplus of information available.
Oath Care, a platform dedicated to supporting families from pregnancy to age five, aims to address this dilemma with its recent launch of ParentGPT.
ParentGPT, powered by its namesake, ChatGPT, promises to revolutionize the process of obtaining high-quality answers to parenting questions.
With a simple prompt of “ask any parenting question,” users can submit queries on a wide range of topics, including breastfeeding, discipline, and divorce, and expect detailed responses within seconds.

ParentGPT draws its information from three dozen credible sources carefully selected by the healthcare company.
These sources include institutions such as the American Academy of Pediatrics, the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) in the US, the National Health Service in the UK, and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
To make the process even more user-friendly, the application provides a library of prompts tailored to the age of one’s child.
From managing the challenges of social media and screen time to transitioning from a crib and handling pregnancy symptoms, the tool covers a wide array of parenting topics.
Of course, it’s important to note that ParentGPT is not a substitute for medical advice, as clearly stated in multiple disclaimers.
For particularly tough queries, users are encouraged to seek a second opinion or connect with the firm’s wider community, which includes both staff experts and fellow members.
This feature allows parents to engage in meaningful discussions and gain insights from experienced individuals who have faced similar challenges.
When Mashable asked about suspecting a partner of child abuse, ParentGPT recommended four steps to ensure the child’s safety.
Similarly, when presented with matters like experiencing domestic violence or serious medical conditions such as a child with a high fever, the chatbot was quick to advise seeking immediate medical help.
ParentGPT is available to users at no cost for up to two posts per month. After exceeding this limit, a subscription fee of US$5 per month or US$48 per year will be required.
