Apple’s latest ambassadors don’t take instruction very well. Yet, with their unbridled expressions and can’t-sit-stillability, they are some of the best advocates for its flagship products. In the newest edition of its long-running Shot on iPhone campaign, the tech giant makes babies its cover faces to demonstrate the advanced portrait capabilities of its latest iPhone 15.
The brainchild (pun intended) of its creative team at TBWA\ Media Arts Lab Los Angeles, the new activation, entitled Baby Face, spotlights an adorable ensemble of 30 little humans aged four to 12 months. Renowned photographer Evan Kafka was enlisted for the task, capturing the range of emotions—from giggles and grins to tears—through the iPhone’s lens.
Photographing babies, known for their unpredictability and fleeting moods, is no easy feat. Thankfully, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro rise to the occasion, boasting the ability to transform images into portraits, with adjustable backgrounds, post-capture.
Elsewhere, improved edge detection in the smartphones brings sharper subject outlines, while advanced color enhancements deliver more vibrant visuals.
