Apple Vision Pro Apps Arrive On The App Store

Apple’s ecosystem just got more immersive. Timed with the Vision Pro’s launch on February 2, apps compatible with the new visionOS are now searchable on the App Store.
As discovered by MacRumors, app listings now detail compatibility with the “spatial computing” operating system and are paired with new screenshots. The Cupertino tech giant, on its part, has confirmed the rollout of 600 new apps crafted for the Vision Pro’s three-dimensional user interface navigable through eyes, hands, and voice.

The headgear, boasting ultra-high-resolution displays that surpass the pixel count of a 4K TV for each eye, enables a cinematic experience on a virtual 100-foot screen, bringing to life entertainment apps like Disney+, IMAX, Warner Bros. Discovery’s Max, and the Apple TV app. Some select titles are available in 4K and Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos, elevating viewing to the next dimension.

Exploration takes a quantum leap with apps like Hold the World, The Archive, and Voyager by ForeFlight, offering users a chance to traverse the globe, delve into iconic mythologies, and soar through the skies with detailed air traffic simulations.
Sports enthusiasts are primed to have a ball of a time with apps like PGA TOUR Vision and the NBA app, along with immersive experiences from MLB, Red Bull TV, and MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
