Kanye West Prices YEEZY Items At Only $20, Refunds Those Who Paid More

Kanye West, considering himself to be the “Robin Hood” of the fashion world, has dramatically slashed the prices on the YEEZY website, making the once-coveted YEEZY Pods, along with a slew of other items, available for the steal of a deal price of US$20.

Every piece of merchandise on the YEEZY SUPPLY website, from the previously $200 Pods to the stylish WET tank and romper, has seen a price drop to just 20 bucks. This includes a variety of clothing items such as box tees, logo shirts, and pants, all previously tagged at prices that could make your wallet wince.

Those who had previously purchased the YEEZY Pods at full price would be refunded $180. This gesture came on the heels of an Instagram post where West revealed an end-of-day report, boasting sales over $19 million and more than 260,000 Pods sold in a single day.

In an interview posted on Instagram, West shared his frustrations with the fashion industry’s resistance to making high-end fashion accessible, recounting his efforts to persuade Gap to price his Balenciaga collaboration at $20 and dismantle the barriers of “classism.”
“I’m a bit of a Robin Hood,” he proclaimed.

Shipping costs, currently set at $15 within the US, still apply.
While everything on the site is marked at a US$20 price point, West foresees a future where fashion will ultimately be “free.”
