Pokémon trainers, it’s time to switch up your in-game bicycle for a… Toyota. That’s right; after crafting Catbuses straight out of the lore of Studio Ghibli’s My Neighbor Totoro, the automaker has swerved into the Pokémon League with a real-life motorcycle inspired by the legendary Miraidon from Scarlet and Violet.
It’s got us feeling the need for speed—well, maybe more like a cruise through Viridian Forest.
Created by the Toyota Engineering Society, a passionate group within the company, this project brings the sleek, motorcycle-like dragon Pokémon roaring to life. The conceptual vehicle sports a streamlined body that mirrors its video game counterpart, complete with glowing red eyes that double as headlights.
And for that extra futuristic touch, there are even jet engine-like features in the back, though these likely won't propel you into the stratosphere.
The bike made its debut at the Waku Waku World event in Japan, and its creation was recently picked up by Redditor LordDremy.
Don’t hold your breath waiting to snag a Miraidon motorcycle at your local dealership, though. As of now, Toyota has no plans for mass production. The choice of this beast for this project makes sense—its machine-like design translates well to a real-world, experimental motorcycle.
