Logitech is clicking into the future by granting seemingly ordinary computer mice and keyboards a new superpower: instant ChatGPT access. Dubbed the Logi AI Prompt Builder, this new software tool allows users to access OpenAI’s ChatGPT quickly through a simple button press, transforming these everyday devices into a shortcut to the limitless power of artificial intelligence. Who says you can train an old dog (or mouse) new tricks?
The Logi AI Prompt Builder is accessible through the free Logi Options+ software app, available for both Windows and macOS users. By configuring this feature, users can assign a specific key on their keyboard or a button on their mouse to trigger a popup window that connects directly to ChatGPT. A range of Logitech devices are supported, including models from the MX, Ergo, Signature, and Studio Series.
This setup aims to streamline workflows by providing quick access to AI-driven interactions, from generating text to coding assistance. The tool is part of a broader trend, as seen with Microsoft recently introducing a Copilot button on its keyboards, tailored for AI integration.
In line with the launch, Logitech has also unveiled a new mouse, the Logitech Signature AI Edition Mouse, which comes with a dedicated AI prompt button. Priced at US$49.99, this mouse will be available exclusively on Logitech’s websites in the US and the UK starting this month.
“ChatGPT alone is seeing approximately 1.6 billion visits each month—a reflection of AI’s ability to enhance and accelerate people’s productivity and creativity,” explains Delphine Donné, general manager of the Personal Workspace business at Logitech.
