Samsung is no stranger to dissing its rival Apple. It’s latest roast comes at perfect time, quickly literally, although the Cupertino tech giant may have snoozed past it. The iPhone maker recently suffered a bug that rendered some smartphone alarms silent, leading to missed appointments and deadlines.
Quick to give its competitor a wake-up call, the South Korean tech brand’s UK Instagram account posted a meme of a DJing sausage dog alongside a line of text assuring users that “our alarms GO OFF.”
“Samsung users woke up on time today,” reads the caption. While Apple wasn’t named in this dig, the video spoke volumes.
It’s believed that the fault is linked to iPhone’s ‘Attention Aware’ feature, which adjusts alert volumes based on user focus. iPhone owners have, however, reported regaining alarm functionality by disabling this feature. Until a fix arrives, Apple advises double-checking alarms before bedtime.
