Coperni—famed for avant-garde treatments to fashion such as Bella Hadid’s spray-on dress and a sci-fi-esque bag crafted from 99% air—is putting its magic touch on full blast with a stylish outerwear piece built in with speakers.
Part of the Summer 2024 lineup, the Coperni x Insvisible Speaker Jacket draws from the free-spirited aesthetics of the 1970s, and was conceptualized by the label’s co-founders Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant, in tandem with Swedish audio experts Transparent.
The garment weaves Transparent’s high-quality speakers into the fabric itself. To achieve this, the duo embarked on an in-depth design process involving numerous prototypes and fittings with 3D-printed models. The result is a jacket that prioritizes both wearability and high-quality audio performance.
Transparent’s compact Light Speaker serves as the core audio component, discreetly secured with the company’s signature black screws. The jacket’s lining cleverly conceals the connections to the amplifier and battery pack, maintaining a sleek and minimalist aesthetic. Whether wearers are commuting, exercising, or simply strolling through the city, the piece provides a convenient and stylish way to stay connected to music and the world around them without the added bulk of say, boom speakers.
