Yamaha Transforms Cat Essentials Into Meow-nificent Music Boxes & More

Who said the cat’s meow can’t hit the right notes? Not Yamaha Design Lab, which has orchestrated some feline fun with its latest concepts of pet products.
Joining paws with Yamaha Motor, the team has composed a series of designs that transform everyday cat accessories into a trio of melodious marvels. Among them is the Cat Music Box, a reimagining of the traditional exercise wheel. As kitty takes a jog, the wheel springs to life, creating tunes that match the pace of those tiny paws.

Another brilliant idea scratched out by the staff is the Strumming Box, which cleverly takes a cue from well-loved instruments with the use of scratching boards, developing character as it ages. As cats indulge their natural instinct to activate their claws, they uncover new layers and colors, resulting in a unique piece of art.

Finally, there’s Neko-Yama, a transparent playground with holes, tunnels, and bulges that challenges cats to push their boundaries.
