Microsoft’s decision to pull the plug on its branded peripherals to focus on its Surface line last year took fans aback. But fear not, keyboard and mouse warriors, because there’ll be a resurrection of the discontinued line.
Thanks to a new partnership with Incase, under the guidance of its parent company Onward Brands, beloved devices are making a comeback, rebranded as ‘Incase Designed by Microsoft’.
Under this banner, the selection—announced earlier this year—will feature 23 products, including popular picks like the Bluetooth Ergonomic Mouse and the Modern Mobile Mouse. There’s also an ergonomic keyboard that was still in development when Microsoft paused its peripheral production.

Originally slated to launch in Q2 2024, the first batch of Incase Designed by Microsoft products has been delayed until Q4. Despite the hold-up and new Incase label, users can expect the same comfort and functionality these items previously offered. Incase plans to continue with the usual manufacturing components and supply chain, ensuring that the only real change is the name on the box.

For those who’ve been holding onto their old Microsoft peripherals with white knuckles, this news comes as a welcome relief.
