Canon has unveiled its latest portable photo printer, the Selphy QX20, making on-the-go creativity even more of a snap.
The Selphy QX20 maintains the postcard-sized charm of its older sibling but adds a new trick to its repertoire. Users can now print on business card-sized paper, measuring 86 x 54 mm.
The printer’s sleek design comes in three stylish colors—Sand White, Dark Gray, and Terracotta Red. Weighing less than a 500ml water bottle, the Selphy QX20 is lightweight and fits easily in your bag, making it perfect for spontaneous printing anywhere.
Once paired with your smartphone through the Selphy Photo Layout app, you can edit, decorate, and even create collages before printing. With options like sticker paper, it’s suited for scrapbooking, labeling, or sharing souvenirs at events, as well.
The Selphy QX20 uses dye-sublimation thermal transfer printing, which heats ink into gas for smoother gradients and sharper images. Canon has also introduced a new clarity-focused sharpness processing method, making your prints even clearer. The printer’s protective laminate ensures that prints are resistant to water, dirt, and fingerprints, keeping your memories safe for up to a full century when stored properly.
For the artistically inclined, the app offers 35 stamps, 25 frames, and up to seven overlays, plus text and paint tools for a plethora of customization options.
Canon has also addressed speed and efficiency with the QX20. It can produce a print in about 40 seconds and fully charges in approximately 80 minutes via a USB Type-C cable, marking improvements over its predecessor.
