Looking for a job that’ll bring home the dough? Pizza Hut’s latest effort might just be your slice of success. The fast-food chain is helping job seekers in New York City tide over the “September Surge” hiring season by printing resumés directly on pizza boxes, before delivering them hot and fresh to potential employers.
With 75% of resumés often left unread, the company is thinking outside the (pizza) box with ResZAmes, using its delivery service to help candidates stand out in a crowded job market and grab the attention of hiring managers from the company of their choice. A piping-hot pie sent to their doors guarantees that they’ll see your application.
To begin, job hunters can visit the ResZAmes website, submit their resumés, and choose the zip code of their target employer. Pizza Hut will then select a few lucky participants and print their applications on specially designed pizza boxes, which are hand-delivered along with a medium cheese pizza to corporate offices. Talk about a hot new way to land your dream gig.
“We know finding a job can be daunting especially during this key hiring season, so we wanted to lend a hand to our job seeking customers and help them break through the clutter,” shares Pizza Hut’s chief marketing officer Melissa Friebe. “By combining Pizza Hut’s iconic pizza boxes with job seekers’ resumes, we are hoping to help resumes drum up the same excitement as office pizza and help the applicant make a lasting impression. Who could possibly ignore a resume when it is delivered as a delicious pizza?”
Those interested have until September 22 to fight for a slice of the pie. With hiring season heating up, this might be the tastiest way to land a job interview.
