Rolls-Royce has taken a celestial leap with the creation of the Spectre Lunaflair, a one-of-a-kind design that’s bound to leave envious onlookers starry-eyed.
Commissioned by an unnamed American client, the Spectre Lunaflair sports a holographic paint job that’s out of this world, to say the least. The finish, which took over a year to perfect, draws inspiration from the ethereal beauty of a lunar halo—a natural phenomenon where moonlight passing through ice crystals in high-altitude clouds creates a colorful ring around the moon.

Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke team pulled out all the stops to capture this celestial wonder on four wheels. The result is a seven-layer lacquer masterpiece, including a specially formulated pearlescent coat infused with fine flakes of aluminum and magnesium fluoride. This painstaking process yields a finish that shape-shifts from a deep metallic sheen in low light to a vibrant rainbow spectacle under direct sunlight.

The Lunaflair’s interior is equally stellar, featuring a tri-color scheme of white, navy blue, and peony pink—colors reminiscent of the hues observed during a lunar halo. The cabin is further enhanced with bespoke elements such as a two-tone steering wheel, a Starlight headliner, and illuminated door panels.

Under the hood, the Spectre Lunaflair is no slouch either. Powered by a 102 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, its dual-motor all-wheel-drive system churns out 577 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. This electric powerhouse can sprint from 0-60 mph in a mere 4.4 seconds and boasts an EPA range of up to 277 miles on a single charge.

As befits such a singular creation, only one Spectre Lunaflair will ever grace the roads with its aura. The exclusive Lunaflair paint finish is reserved solely for the commissioning patron, ensuring that this automotive work of art remains as elusive as the natural phenomenon that inspired it.
