Stitch is back, and this time, he’s making himself right at home—albeit uninvited—in some of Disney’s most beloved fairy tales. Ahead of the live-action adaptation of Lilo & Stitch, Walt Disney Studios has released a series of playful promotional posters featuring the mischievous blue alien inserting himself into classic films like Snow White, Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin. Much like the animated film’s original marketing campaign in 2002, these posters showcase Stitch as an unapologetic scene-stealer.
One visual reimagines the glass slipper scene from Cinderella—except this time, Stitch is sticking his foot inside with ease. Another features him chomping on the poisoned apple from Snow White.
Meanwhile, Beauty and the Beast’s enchanted rose has become Stitch’s latest plaything, and in the final image, he clutches Aladdin’s magic lamp, unknowingly about to summon the Genie.
The series continues from a similar promotional stunt from last December that saw Stitch re-enacting a scene from The Lion King.
Each graphic injects Stitch’s chaotic energy into Disney’s timeless visuals, creating a fitting tribute to both past and present.
Disney’s decision to incorporate these crossovers isn’t just a nod to Lilo & Stitch’s legacy—it cleverly reinforces the upcoming film’s place in the company’s tradition of live-action reimaginings. Each cinematic muse has had its own remake, with the latest, Snow White, scheduled for release in the US on March 21.
The live-action adaptation of Lilo & Stitch, directed by Dean Fleischer Camp (Marcel the Shell with Shoes On), stars Maia Kealoha as Lilo and Sydney Agudong as Nani, with Zach Galifianakis and Billy Magnussen in supporting roles. Chris Sanders, the original voice of Stitch, will return to voice the chaotic but lovable alien.
Slated for release on May 23, 2025, the film promises to bring a fresh yet faithful take on the 2002 classic.
