Canva, the design platform that helped millions make their first poster, just got a serious upgrade. With its biggest makeover since launching in 2013, the company has introduced Visual Suite 2.0—a sweeping update aimed at bringing creativity and productivity under one digital roof. The launch, announced at the Canva Create 2025 event at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, reimagines how users—from solo creators to sprawling teams—approach design, data, content creation, and collaboration.
There’s even a spreadsheet involved, but it’s not the kind that’ll give you a headache.

A highlight of the launch is Canva Sheets, a visually-driven alternative to traditional spreadsheets that works design into data. Users can pull in real-time numbers from sources like Google Analytics and HubSpot, then transform them into animated charts and infographics using AI tools like Magic Insights and Magic Charts. The idea is to make number-crunching more accessible and even enjoyable.

Equally noteworthy is Canva Code, a tool that allows users to build interactive content like widgets and calculators using natural language prompts instead of lines of code. Through this addition, Canva hopes to flatten the learning curve for non-technical users, making features once reserved for developers or designers available to anyone with an idea and a keyboard.
