Finding your professional sweet spot just got more flavorful. Taiwan-based career platform Cake (formerly CakeResume), the platform behind the wildly viral What Cake R U? personality quiz, is now serving up a more advanced helping with a Pro—but still free!—edition, where you will find a bigger batch of sugary metaphors baked into a more structured, psychologically informed format.

The original quiz, first featured by DesignTAXI, quickly took off for its whimsical spin on workplace personalities, sorting users into sweet treat personas based on a quirky little journey through a “Job Hunting Village.”
Now, What Cake R U? Pro expands the menu with 16 personality types instead of just six confections, ranging from ‘Croissant’ the Guardian Angel to ‘Lava Cake’ the Perfectionist, ‘Cheesecake’ the Work Mom, ‘Donut’ the Explorer, ‘Waffle’ the Chill Guy, and ‘White Bread’ the Ace. The art style is also decidedly different, replacing the pixelated character designs of the previous version.
Each character is built around distinct behavioral traits and work habits, derived from Cake’s homegrown Cake Personality Type Indicator (CPTI) that is loosely inspired by established models like the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the OCEANS framework.
The test—consisting of a sweet role-play scenario that takes about three minutes to complete—also breaks individuals down across four psychological dimensions: Analytical vs. Sensing, Driven vs. Grounded, Focused vs. Exploratory, and Network vs. Independent. It’s still got that snackable vibe, but with more depth—and a sprinkle of career guidance on top.
To dig deeper, there’s an AI chatbot who’ll ask follow-up questions and give extra insights. While the base results are free, full reports and tailored recommendations require an upgrade to the Pro version.
So, are you careful and thoughtful like a Matcha Roll or a stickler for your strengths like Mochi? Take the quiz here to find out.
