Google Revives Popular Doodle Mini Games To Entertain Bored People At Home

Google’s most iconic mini-game is the interactive offline dinosaur feature, but it has also rolled out numerous other mini games on its homepage. Aside from launching a COVID-19 information site and working with Apple on coronavirus contact-tracing technology, the tech giant is rereleasing some of its favorite Doodle games to keep you occupied at home during the crisis.
Over a course of two weeks from 27 April, Google will bring back 10 throwback mini-games in hopes of unleashing your inner child during this challenging time.
The first game from this installment is from 4 December 2017, which marked 50 years since kids’ coding languages were introduced. Created in collaboration with MIT’s free programming language Scratch, the interactive Doodle features a bunny who has to collect carrots with the help of users.

The next Doodle, relaunched on 28 April, is the 1 June 2017 game Cricket which invites users to a little baseball match. The feature was created to celebrate the ICC 2017 Cricket Women's World Cup.

In addition to these mini games, Google has made its game streaming platform, Stadia, free for everyone to keep them engaged during the COVID-19 lockdown.
