Kanye West’s Sketches Show How He Designs His New Handwritten Typeface

Kanye West is creating a new typeface based on his handwriting.
The rapper posted a few photos documenting the creative process on Twitter, writing, “Hand designing a 2020 future font ‘FTR FNT’.”
One photo showed big bold letters sketched onto a white paper in a blue marker. Another photo showed a digital version and a screenshot of a message he had with designer Benno Russell, which read, “I have done the letters, can you write out the (bunch of numerals and symbols.”
Other photos showed how his typography journey is shaping up, with the letters and numerals written on an orange sheet.
West made headlines recently after he unexpectedly announced that he wished to run for president this year.
