Kanye West Announces He’s Running For President, Elon Musk Offers ‘Full Support’

Kanye West has announced in a tweet that he is running for President of the United States.
The rapper celebrated the country’s Independence Day by revealing his greatest plan on social media, which had been met with mixed reactions.
“We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future,” he wrote in a tweet. “I am running for president of the United States #2020VISION.” It is, however, unknown if the rapper has filed any official paperwork to enter the presidential race.
The announcement went viral online, and it even caught the attention of Elon Musk. The Tesla and SpaceX CEO replied that he would endorse the rapper after learning that the rapper would be running for president. “You have my full support!” Musk tweeted. West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, also showed support for him by tweeting a US flag emoji.
Other social media users, however, were skeptical with the news, and felt like the year has been quite a ride. “My reaction to Kanye running for president… like this year couldn’t get any worse (Chill 2020 that’s not a dare or a challenge),” one Twitter user wrote alongside a photo of a surprised man.
