Kanye West & Joel Osteen Get Ridiculed Over ‘Walk On Water’ Sunday Service Stunt

As an homage to Jesus Christ, Kanye West and his Sunday Service crew attempted to pull off an illusion mimicking the Lord’s biblical feat of walking on water.
Kim Kardashian shared visuals from the water-based sermon held by Joel Scott Osteen, Senior Pastor of Lakewood Church, the largest church in America. In it, worshippers could be seen soulfully hymning to Sheck Wes’ Mo Bamba while treading on shallow waters.
The performance clearly didn’t measure up to any miracle worth writing books about. Viewers were hugely underwhelmed, and seemingly even outraged, by the act.
Some Christians have condemned the stunt as “disrespectful” and “making a mockery of the Lord.” Many have also accused West of perpetuating cultist behaviors under the guise of a godly person, with some noting that Sunday Service participants were made to wear clothing from his own brand, YEEZY.
One social media user was quick to address the elephant in the room: “Ever [heard] of social distancing?”
For the general viewer, the vision seems a little too Midsommar-esque. Most are also far too jaded to be touched or dazzled by an illusion performed on what is clearly a wet floor.
