You Can Now Restore Old Google Logos Like Gmail’s On Your Browser—Here’s How

Miss the old Gmail icon? You can now restore it, among others from Google’s services, with this new Chrome extension.
Designer Claudio Postinghel has developed a plugin called ‘Restore old Google icons’ that can be added to Chrome, allowing users to get the old icons back in their tabs.
On the developer’s page, the description of the plugin reads, “This extension restores the old icon on Meet, Calendar and Gmail to make tabs more recognizable. That increases accessibility.”
The extension received positive responses from social media users. “Thanks! Now I’ll finally stop mistakenly go on Drive to write down emails,” a user commented on Product Hunt. Another added, “Omg thanks! Gave the new icons time to get used to… Can’t do it. Driving me crazy.”
The similarities of the newly introduced Google icons might have impacted the work processes of some users. Some have found it difficult to differentiate one from the other, causing confusion and a lack of productivity in certain cases.
