OPPO Is Set To Release AR Glasses That Can Be Controlled With Your Hands

OPPO held its Inno Day conference on 17 November 2020 and announced its new AR glasses, set to release in 2021.
The company touted that the device will include time-of-flight (ToF) sensors that can measure distance and will utilize simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) algorithms to locate the area around the wearer.
OPPO described that the design will allow the user to watch videos as though they were watching from a 90-meter (295-foot) screen. The wearable can be connected to the OPPO Find X3 phone via a USB-C cable to enjoy more features, including touch and swipe controls. However, it still isn’t clear how the glasses will work without being connected to a phone.
Another standout feature the company announced was gesture controls. The company stated that the glasses can map 21 points on your hands to interact with virtual objects and buttons through movement.
OPPO's AR glasses are set to launch next year, the same year Facebook is reported to release its very own smart glasses.
