Louis Vuitton To Release NBA Backboard & Ball So You Can Shoot Hoops In Style

Previously, Louis Vuitton launched its second collaboration with the NBA, featuring a quirky basketball bag retailing for US$4,250. Now, the luxury fashion house is adding a backboard and ball to the collection, and wow, they’re fancy.
According to Man of Many, the latest additions are inspired by the brand’s iconic luggage trunk, with its gold accents and corner trims. The backboard is transparent, with gold corner caps and frosted Louis Vuitton branding on its outer edges.
There’s also a large logo right in the middle, so everyone will know your hoop is LV-made. Together with the luxurious details are signature basketball elements, including bright orange fasteners and a classic orange rim with a white net.
Alongside the backboard is Louis Vuitton’s take on the basketball, featuring a classic dark leather and black trim design, plus NBA and Louis Vuitton motifs. As a cute treat, colorful stickers are also included with the pack, allowing you to decorate your backboard and basketball à la the 90s.
As of now, there hasn’t been official word on how much the NBA x Louis Vuitton backboard and basketball will cost, but based on the rest of the collection, it’s sure to be a chunk of change. The new additions will launch in the coming weeks at select brand outlets.
