Airheads Debuts Chicken Sandwich With Candy Buns For A Sweet & Savory Mix

Remember the chicken sandwich wars? Well, most of us thought it was over. But in honor of Fried Chicken Day on July 6, candy brand Airheads released its very own fried chicken sandwich to take on the big guns.
Unlike other chicken sandwiches on the market, the Airheads Candy Chicken Sandy has buns made entirely out of Airheads Xtremes – strips of rainbow-colored candy coated in sour sugar.
In between the buns is a crispy fried chicken topped with coleslaw, spicy mayonnaise, and pickles. Yummy or yucky? You decide.
As of now, there are no plans for the sandwich to be rolled out nationwide, considering Airheads has no restaurants of its own. However, according to Time Out, the brand debuted the sweet and savory dish at Frances’ Deli and Brunchery in Chicago for lunch on July 6.
