Steve Jobs Inspires First-Of-Its-Kind Auction With His 1973 Job Form As An NFT

A London-based entrepreneur is putting up Steve Jobs’ 1973 job application for auction—only this time, it’ll be a physical VS digital battle.
The form the Apple founder filled out at an unspecified company will be available for purchase as either an authenticated physical good or in digital form as a non-fungible token (NFT).
According to CNET, this job application has gone under the hammer several times before, selling for US$18,750 in 2017, US$174,757 in 2018, and US$222,400 last March.
Bidding for the current sale has begun, with the auction’s organizer, Olly Joshi, accepting bids for both the physical and NFT version at the same time.
The auction will last seven days, during which those looking to purchase the physical version can bid via third-party site Snoofa. Buyers more interested in the NFT version can head over to digital marketplace Rarible. Both versions can be seen and compared on the official site.
“This unique auction format will truly test where value lies. Coming from a tech background, obviously I’m fighting on the NFT side. May the best Jobs application win!” said Alexander Salnikov, co-founder of Rarible.
