Apple Shares Some Bad News That Could Mean You’d Have To Fight For An iPhone 13

Last week, we got a good idea of what the iPhone 13 lineup could look like, thanks to dummy models unveiled by industry insiders. Significant changes include Apple reducing the size of the phone’s notch, plus relocating the microphone to the top bezel.
Recently, as Apple’s Chief Financial Officer Luca Maestri reported the company’s Q3 financial results, he revealed that the iPhone 13 lineup may be affected by a supply shortage.
“We expect supply constraints during the September quarter to be greater than what we experienced during the June quarter. The constraints will primarily impact iPhone and iPad,” Maestri said.
According to Forbes, while Apple has said its development for the new iPhone 13 range was “ahead of schedule,” it may still face supply issues stemming from a shortage of A15 chips. As with the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, users looking to upgrade their smartphones may find themselves clamoring for sets once the lineup is released.
Judging from Apple’s release cycle, it should be set to preview the new range in September, the month that the company is anticipating a short supply. If you’re planning to get your hands on an iPhone 13, be prepared to fight for a coveted piece of the smartphone pie.
