Adobe’s ‘Strike A Pose’ AI Saves Awkward Posers From Taking Another Bad Shot

Wish your stances were less awkward-Zara and more natural-looking? If Adobe’s new research does come to fruition, you’ll be posing effortlessly in photos in no time.
Among the experimental ‘Sneaks’ presented at the Adobe MAX 2021 creativity conference was ‘Project Strike a Pose’, a tool that eliminates all the awkwardness of posing for a photo by digitally replicating a desired pose from another image. Sneaks are novel snapshots of Adobe’s technological advancements that could appear in its software as future features.
For creative professionals like retouchers and graphic editors, this feature would come in useful when you have a stock photo of a model but prefer a different pose.

The Adobe Sensei AI automatically repositions the model into the new stance “through a unique mix of data and texture mapping,” while retaining your model’s physical features and clothing, as well as the photo’s depth and lighting. As TechCrunch puts it, it’s like “style transfer” for model poses.

Like all Adobe Sneaks, there’s no guarantee that this feature will be added to Adobe’s Creative Cloud suite. Still, it’s nice to know that this option is very possible.
