Cybertruck-Inspired Snowcat Lets You Clear Snow From The Warmth Of The Indoors
Tesla’s almost-mythical Cybertruck has, famously, been delayed countless times. But its absence hasn’t stopped it from being an inspiration to many designers for their own products—whether that’s in anticipation of the vehicle itself or just drawing upon its very recognizable shape.
One of these is the ‘CyberKat’, a miniature snowcat developed by Spyker Workshop that will help users to clear deep snow in winter, thanks to its wide tracks.
One glance at this sleek little helper will definitely pin it as part of the Cybertruck’s family tree: It dons a cloak of aluminum over sharp edges, and even comes with light bars similar to the Cybertruck’s futuristic design.
Measuring in at 29 x 19 x 9.5-inches, the vehicle is capable of 4.25 inches of ground clearance, which will allow it to traverse uneven terrain easily. It’s powered by a 775 electric motor and has room enough to house four 12V batteries.
In addition to all of this, the ‘CyBlower’—also still in its developing stages—can be mounted onto the CyberKat’s trailer hitch, which will assist by blowing the snow away. This is optional, though; the CyberKat can power through snow perfectly on its own.
Perhaps the best part of all of this is that the vehicle is remote-controlled. Yup. Clearing snow can be done from the comfort of your living room, allowing you to stay warm and toasty indoors while watching the CyberKat whir away from the window.
But there’s a catch. Or, if you’re into DIY, another bonus. And that is the fact that you’ll need to assemble the vehicle on your own after purchase, which gives you the materials such as a sheet metal frame, injection molded parts, and stainless steel hardware.
Currently, the CyberKat is available for preorder. It’s priced at US$1,299, but there are other costs involved too. Robb Report has noted that the electronics kit requires another US$120, and an optional radio will come with a price tag of US$80 too.

However, promising news is that shipping is estimated for January and February 2022, which means you could most probably get your hands on a CyberKat before you can get a Cybertruck. But then again, that might not feel like that difficult of a standard to beat.
