When faced with the ill effects of the pandemic on his business, Lance King, the CEO of AI and real-time analytics firm Stream It, decided to revamp his company. Pivoting towards a product based on his self-proclaimed love for Tesla, King invented the ‘Cyberlandr’.

This is an accessory designed to fit on the back of the Tesla Cybertruck, transforming the already unconventional silhouette into something that will definitely garner users a few double-takes. It’s essentially a popup design that converts the existing Cybertruck from a sleek automotive offering to a camper. A tiny, portable, home-on-wheels, complete with rooms and the essentials for living.

When placing his order for a Cybertruck, King realized there was no option to make it compatible with an external RV, the press release states. So he just decided to make his own.

Now, King has told Business Insider that preorders for this product have already surpassed US$80 million in value, despite its hefty asking price of US$50,000 per unit. It’s also expected to reach an estimated demand of 10,000 units per year.

The company states that it expects the CyberLandr to become available at around the same time as the Cybertruck, which has unfortunately been delayed.

The CyberLandr’s success has reached the ears of Elon Musk himself. The Tesla founder offered up a one-word endorsement, enough to spur the CyberLandr and Cybertruck’s newfound coexistence to greatest heights: “Cool.”
