Ferrari has recently announced that it has signed a multi-year deal with Swiss technology company Velas Network to create “exclusive digital content” for its fans, including non-fungible tokens.

Starting next season, Velas will become a partner of the Prancing Horse’s Formula One racing team, and will be added as the title sponsor of the Ferrari Esports Series.

According to Reuters, Velas is one of the leading firms in blockchain technology and NFTs, which has gained so much popularity this year names such as Adidas, Melania Trump, and Ozzy Osbourne have thrown their hats in the ring.

“Having built a next-generation blockchain that puts the emphasis both on sustainability and performance, it was natural to partner with another icon of excellence, which is Ferrari,” said Velas Network co-founder Farad Shagulyamov, as per Bitcoinist.

“Velas has introduced an innovative variety of pioneering technology into the blockchains and associated products, which will now be showcased at the pinnacle of motorsport.”
