Not all non-fungible tokens are eight-bit or seemingly drawn by an amateur. Dolce & Gabbana’s new digital collectibles are elaborately modeled, glistening so naturally, you can almost feel them.
The DGFamily Boxes take after the luxury label’s intricately carved, Carretto-style jewelry boxes, though their animation gives something new away. The boxes open slightly to reveal a blinding glow, offering a peek at their elusive contents.
“Each Box unlocks exclusive digital, physical, and experiential privileges for its owner based on the tier of the Box,” describes UNXD, the NFT marketplace that has teamed up with D&G to launch the virtual jewelry boxes.
There are three tiers of DGFamily Boxes, each distinguished by color.
The Black Box grants collectors access to digital and physical apparel, as well as entry to metaverse and physical events, and an exclusive D&G swag set. The more premium Gold Box presents the same privileges, plus dibs on rarer physical and digital collections and events, along with a higher-end swag kit. Finally, the Platinum Box takes these benefits up a notch and throws in access to a private D&G offsite.
The selection is the brand’s second dip into the NFT pool. The first, designed by its own founders, is reported by NFTCalendar to have raked in US$5.65 million.
Release dates have not been announced, but holders can register here for a chance to gain early access to the NFTs.
