IKEA Launches Chic Outdoor Lamp That Doubles Up As A Bluetooth Speaker
Most of us aren’t strangers to IKEA’s innovative designs—from 3D-printed vegan meatballs to its Sonos table lamp with custom shades, there’s no shortage of impressive ideas from the Swedish furniture chain.
Now, in its latest offering, the brand is introducing an outdoor LED lamp that will double up as a Bluetooth speaker so you can enjoy the grooviest tunes while camping out at night.
Dubbed the Vappeby, the device comes with a special Spotify Tap button that links directly to the music streaming app.
With a simple tap, it’ll pick up from wherever you left off, and if you’re tired of the same songs, just click it again to play recommended tracks based on your listening history.
As Engadget noted, the speaker does work with other streaming services or any other media playing on your device, with up to 12 hours of battery life.
Furthermore, not only does the lamp boast IP65 dust and water splash resistance, but it’s also been touted to light up any outdoor party, barbecue night, or siesta by the pool while delivering 360 sound.
