Have it your way, says Burger King; and every time it does have it its way, the fast-food chain spares no effort to cheekily rope rivaling restaurants into campaigns.
New visuals created by advertising agency Publicis Montréal envision a Burger King paper bag on different doorsteps, suggesting that customers can enjoy their favorite Whopper in the privacy of their homes by using the delivery app. The point is that “every home can be the Home of the Whopper!”
“With the Burger King app delivery feature, we want to make it easier than ever to ‘Have it Your Way’ and [have the Whopper] conveniently delivered at home,” describes Iwo Zakowski, Global Head of Brand Marketing at Burger King.

Viewers would not be able to ignore the campaign’s discreet nods at a couple of other giants in the fast-food space.
One entrance has a red and yellow color palette with an umbrella stand that resembles a pack of golden fries, along with clown shoes at the side; while the other imagines red and white-striped pots holding chicken leg-like trees—elements that Burger King refrains to mention in the press release. Go figure.
The amusing spins are being delivered across several markets, including Belgium, Chile, Costa Rica, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Taiwan, and the UK.
