LEGO Aston Martin Car Made From Nearly 350K Parts Rolls Into Its Largest Store
James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5 has been recreated in LEGO as a full-scale model of the famous car lands in London’s Leicester Square LEGO store.
The life-sized toy car was created in celebration of LEGO’s 90th anniversary and the opening of its largest LEGO store in the world.
According to Aston Martin, the car took 1,366 hours to piece together and used 347,954 bricks to reimagine the iconic car as part of the LEGO universe.

The car comes fully equipped with its own rotating license plate and a minifig of James Bond standing watch beside it, looking just about ready to make his daring escape from a villain.
The top part of the roof and one of its doors has been removed so that Bond and LEGO fans alike can take a better peek into the craftsmanship. Inside, there are seats, a dashboard that lights up, and an actual steering wheel.
Not only was the DB5’s LEGO counterpart created in its likeness, but it also weighs almost as much as the original. The bricked-version of the car comes in at 2,240 pounds while the original stands at 3,236 pounds.
LEGO’s Leicester Square location is also slated to house models of the double-decker bus from the Harry Potter films, Big Ben, and Spider-Man. It will also soon introduce its largest project in the store, which would take almost half a million bricks to create, the Tree of Life.
