Audio-Technica Earbuds Are Self-Cleaning For A Hygienic Listening Experience

One inconvenience that continues to eat into busy schedules is the need to regularly clean your earbuds. Ain’t nobody got time for that, truly, and Audio-Technica’s answer to that is to create ones that cleanse themselves.
 
The ATH-TWX9 sits in a charging case that is integrated with UV light to sterilize the acccessories while they rest.

According to the company, the process takes just 70 seconds and will begin immediately once the earpieces are placed back into their holder. In addition, Audio-Technica states that there is a unique deep-UV sterilization system housed in the case, which will eliminate bacteria and viruses from the surface of the buds. Mirrors have also been placed within it to heighten its effectiveness.
 

While this might sound promising, The Review Geek does point out that it can’t eliminate bacteria with grime and ear wax in the way. As such, users will still need to regularly clean the gadget out with cotton buds and alcohol wipes before the case can do its job correctly. 
 
And if that isn’t enough of a draw for you, its specs may be. The ATH-TWX9 offers complete active noise control (ANC) and transparency modes. In addition, the charging case doesn’t only clean your earbuds; it also provides a 24.5-hour listening time. 

The earpiece is powered by a Snapdragon Sound, aptX Adaptive audio, and Sony 360 Reality Audio delivered through 5.8mm drivers.
