With April Fool’s Day having just passed, companies have surely been keeping the public on its toes with fake and not-so-fake announcements. In this case, what fans thought would be a stellar practical joke has now turned out to be the real deal from the electronics company Nothing as it announces a new line of… beer?
Nothing, most known for its minimalistic take on smartphones and earbuds, is pouring up a new offering that might be a little out of the beer crate.
After working with a microbrewery in Wales, UK, called Freetime Beer, the tech firm is introducing its ‘Beer (5.1%)’, which will sit alongside its other more techy ventures.
The company first made the announcement on Twitter on March 31, which had everyone expecting to be pranked. Instead, after releasing some visuals for the incoming beer, Nothing reassured everyone that the incoming beverage was indeed very real and very much tasty.
The tech firm described the beer as a “crisp, unfiltered rice lager. Carefully crafted for a distinct and drier taste.” Thanks to its name, one can also expect it to have a 5.1% ABV.
