‘Lofi Girl’ Returns To YouTube To Introduce A New Friend: ‘Synthwave Boy’
Recently, millions of subscribers to the famed ‘Lofi Girl’ channel on YouTube have sunk their heads into a mystery: just where has the relaxing companion gone? Hints initially pointed towards something brewing in the blue-lit room across the street, and now we finally have answers.
It turns out the character known as Jade went to bring a new friend, which fans are now calling ‘Synthwave Boy’. Fans eyeing the additional stream on the channel would’ve heard the sound of a door opening in the blue room as a boy stepped in with his puppy.

Clothed in purple, Synthwave Boy—who doesn’t seem to have an actual name as of yet—sat at a desk with a computer, put on a pair of headphones, and began typing away. Soon after, Lofi Girl returned to her own table, where she reunited with her cat by the window.
Intriguingly, as Polygon pointed out, even though the duo is separated, you still see the presence of the other’s window in each respective background. The next time you need a playlist to relax to, which will it be? Synthwave radio or lofi beats?
