LEGO Brings Buildable 3D Postcards Inspired By 80s Sci-Fi Themes In Latest Set

Previously, LEGO Ideas brought Andrea Lattanzio’s idea of an A-Frame Cabin to life, as the design won approval for production after receiving over 10,000 supporters. Now, fan designer Jan Woźnica is experiencing the same, as his Tales of the Space Age set comes to market.


Instead of being a complex build like the incredible 6,167-piece Lord Of The Rings Rivendell Set, Woźnica’s imagination is more minimalistic—allowing for fans to carve up space-themed imagery in the form of 3D postcards.

Housed within each box are four designs, including one of a space shuttle, moon base, black hole, and lunar eclipse, made out of just 688 pieces. Each retro graphic draws its inspiration from 1980s Sci-Fi tales, movies, books, and posters.

Once completed, the murals can be placed freestanding or hung on a wall, with LEGO allowing enthusiasts to decide if they’d want to showcase all four postcards together or separately throughout the home.


The LEGO Tales of the Space Age set will be available from May 8, 2023, on the official website here.
