Disney+ & Hulu To Combine Into One App By The End Of The Year

If you’re someone who could spend an hour just scrolling through Disney+ trying to find something to watch, the new addition of Hulu’s content might take searching for that perfect show to watch while you eat even longer.
 
After announcing the company’s second-quarter earnings, CEO Bob Iger stated that the streaming site would soon include Hulu’s roster of shows. Users subscribed to the Disney Bundle Duo Basic and Disney Bundle Trio Basic pass can quickly search for titles on either platform without toggling between different apps. Even so, if you prefer to keep the apps separate, you can still log in individually to each app.

A similar function is available outside of the US called Disney+ Hotstar, which merges several different sites into one.
 
While it might sound like a valuable addition to having access to more content, the move is in a bid to increase the streaming giant’s profits.

Previously, Disney+ notified users of a new ad-based tier, similar to Netflix’s, that would go for US$8 monthly. That came alongside a price hike to its ad-free bundle with Hulu included, which was bumped up to US$11 per month from its usual US$9.99.
  
The streaming world is undergoing many changes as HBO Max announced that it will be rebranded to just Max come May 23.
