On the trail of the Super Mario Bros. movie, Nintendo and Oreo have joined forces to launch cookies inspired by the wildly popular video game franchise, with character faces embossed into the snacks.

Every pack is a mixed bag of icons and power-ups, ranging from Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Toad, to a coin, a mushroom, and even nemeses like Bowser Jr. and Boo.

You can meet them in cookie form in this incredibly fun teaser video.
The creme de la creme, or lack thereof, is Princess Peach, who is evidently missing from the lineup once again.
For that, Oreo is assembling heroes and heroines to rescue the damsel—as is the goal in many of the games—and “stop trouble-making Bowser from taking over her castle,” Nintendo details in a press release.
To defeat Bowser, players/eaters are asked to stack as many hero-embossed Oreos on top of a Bowser cookie as possible on the mouth of a glass of milk, then post a video of the combat on social media.
“We hope to unite cookie lovers and Super Mario enthusiasts alike with this playful mission, inspired by a storyline fans know all too well,” explains Vishnu Nair, senior brand manager at Oreo.
“We may even reveal a surprise as a thank-you to those who successfully defeat Bowser and save the kingdom,” Nair teases. “Fans will have to wait and see!”
The gamified Oreo x Super Mario cookies are now available for pre-order on the Oreo website, and will jump to stores nationwide on July 10 for a price of US$4.99.
