Nearly 7,000 LEGO Manuals Are Available To Download On Internet Archive

Throwing out a LEGO box and forgetting there’s an instruction booklet inside can be a little irksome, but it’s nowhere as painful as stepping on a plastic brick. Now is a good time to point out that you can still obtain the digital copies on the official website. However, there’s a second destination to get those too.

As uncovered by Open Culture, a new collection on the Internet Archive lets you download digitized manuals for 6,854 builds, including retired and more current sets. The selection—or “dump,” as the uploader calls it—comprises every PDF booklet retrieved from the LEGO website as of March 2023.

And yes, you could just grab the copies from the toymaker’s site, but if you’re looking for a different way to access them, such as by sorting them by popularity, this is a good place to do that. For one, the Internet Archive’s directory allows you to view all kinds of sets at once, whereas the one on the LEGO website is designed to retrieve the instructions for individual kits.

Among the most-viewed booklets in this collection are the ones for the retired Fiat 500, the Titanic, Andy Warhol’s Marilyn Monroe portrait, Rome’s Colosseum, and the Friends apartment sets.
