UK startup WAU has taken the wraps off its latest creation, the Cyber e-bike, as a solution to the pressing issue of commuter congestion in the UK. Sporting a bold design reminiscent of a Tesla’s futuristic-looking Cybertruck, the Cyber aims to provide an alternative to traditional cars, trains, and buses.
The Cyber has a boxy metallic body and boasts the first 360° smart lighting for its headlights, according to the company.
It comes in three distinct versions, each boasting different motor power and top speeds: a 250-watt model reaching 15.5 mph, a 750-watt model hitting 28 mph, and a powerful 5,000-watt option clocking in at a rapid 55 mph.
The varying power outputs translate into different ranges for each model. The 250-watt version shines in this aspect, boasting a range of up to 200 miles. Meanwhile, the 750-watt model offers a 160-mile range, while the 5,000-watt variant covers a range of 60 miles. The e-bike’s high-capacity battery packs, equipped with Samsung 21700 cells, ensure that users can traverse long distances.
Besides its performance, the Cyber boasts an eye-catching appearance, and is available in six distinct color variants, including some Limited Edition skins that promise to add an extra touch of individuality. WAU will also release a special Founders Edition of the Cyber, limited to just 250 units.
