Louis Vuitton’s Newest Camera Bag Is Literally A Working Camera
Louis Vuitton is on a new kick on disguising bags that are trying to be something else, like fake plastic freezer carriers with pictures of classic monogrammed purses.
In a new collaboration with streetwear brand Kidsuper, its latest bag is more than just an image; it can actually take photos this time.
Fashion and function are coming together for its latest offering, where the luxury label and Kidsuper founder Colm Dillane have turned a bag into a camera (or a camera into a bag, whichever way you see it). The exterior takes shape as a vintage film camera encased in a leather body with the Louis Vuitton label dotting over it. It has a handle for you to carry it around with and a wrist strap so that it won’t slip out of your grip when you’re filming.
On its front, it has a lens protruding out of one end, and on the back, there is a viewfinder. And not only is it a functioning gadget, but if you open up inside, you can store your gear like lenses and other accessories.
The camera can also connect to a smartphone to stream what you’re filming in real time. During Paris Fashion Week, a model shot footage of the runway with the bag.
There are no details on how much this would set you back, and for now, it looks to be exclusive to the streetwear brand.
