MSCHF Turns The Ubiquitous Medical Boot Into Slip-On Sneakers

If MSCHF’s viral Big Red Boots and its sequel, the Big Yellow Boots, didn’t seem fashionable enough, here’s another footwear launch from the art collective that will help put the best foot forward.

Updating last year’s AC1, the upcoming AC2 turns its predecessor into a mule version of a medical boot merged with sneakers, now with a convenient, slip-on style and strap that holds one’s feet firmly in place across the midfoot.

Similar to the previous release, the colorway remains an aptly sterile gray and black, featuring EVA foam complete with the brand’s patented WOWCOMFY! technology. There’s no doubt these will be kind on soles, considering it’s further linked with molded neoprene for extra comfort.

Take a closer look at the sneaker-boot creation, and one will notice hidden “hospital blue” accents to perfectly encapsulate the aesthetic. According to the collective, the MSCHF AC2 is scheduled to be released on August 22, 2023, at a retail price of US$115.
