MSCHF’s Giant Yellow Crocs-Boots Will Set You Back An Equally Tall Wad Of Cash
By Alexa Heah, 25 Jul 2023
Last month, it was revealed that art collective MSCHF was working on a sequel to its incredibly popular Big Red Boot. Just this time, the comically-large footwear will come in a bright yellow hue.
Now, MSCHF—which partnered with Crocs on the quirky creation—has confirmed the highly-coveted boots will launch on August 9, 2023. Though, it’ll cost an equally large amount of money with a US$450 price tag, a US$100 increase from the previous iteration.
Interestingly, the duo turned to iconic Y2K face Paris Hilton to model the Spongebob-colored boots. The celebrity paired the chunky shoes with a black and yellow outfit reminiscent of Uma Thurman’s get-up in Kill Bill.
While the boots have yet to be released to the public, they have made appearances in special sneak peeks.
For example, prankster Tommy Cash donned a pair of the instantly-recognizable shoes at Paris Fashion Week, while Colombian singer-songwriter Maluma debuted them on his Instagram.
Those looking to get a chance at snagging the Big Yellow Boots can do so via a 24-hour draw exclusively on the MSCHF Sneaker application. Head here for more details.
