Do you have an insatiable, almost barbarous thirst to stay hydrated? Liquid Death, the hardcore mountain water brand, might have the perfect elixir vessel for you.
The company is screaming death to single-use plastic and aluminum with the ‘Slaughter Bottle’. Chances are it also sold its soul to the devil by the gallon, because this bottle has seemingly acquired powers for “eternal reusability.”
“Before it was the Slaughter Bottle, it was just a can with a dream of dismembering thirsts repeatedly until the earth gets sucked into the sun,” the item’s description reads. However, the can “trained” and “bulked up,” and it even “underwent dangerous experimental procedures at the hands of our least ethical scientists,” notes Liquid Death.

Resembling a Liquid Death can, this powerful, supersized version “is armed with a lid allowing for eternal reusability and brutally murdering thirsts from now until the end of time,” says the brand.
Andy Pearson, VP of Creative at Liquid Death, claims that during a trial marketing run, “people were literally cutting each others’ heads off” to get their hands on the Slaughter Bottle.
All this is roundabout speak for what is, in essence, a 32-ounce water bottle crafted out of 100% stainless steel. It’s a canister with strong Ken-ergy, if you will.
It’s an example of what good marketing and copywriting can achieve, and people are sold, to say the least. According to Pearson, all units of the US$39 bottle were swiped within two days of its launch.

On social media, users are lauding the company for killing it with the Slaughter Bottle. “Slaughter anyone who says it’s just a water bottle,” pens one person.
On the flip side, others think water bottles are too meek of an idea for a burly figure such as Liquid Death. “You guys need to escalate and come [up] with a drinking ax,” quips one person.
Functionality-wise, the bottle sports double-walled vacuum insulation and is topped with a leak-proof twistable lid, perfect for savage gulpers. Due to popular demand, it’s now available again for preorders.
