Mattel Brings Self-Loving ‘I Am Kenough’ Merch From ‘Barbie’ To The Real World

Life in Barbie Land is pretty much a beach for Ken, who measures his worth based on the attention Barbie gives him. And as the pink-loving protagonist enters an existential crisis in the film, Ken, too, slowly but surely goes on his own journey of self-discovery.
Now, the folks at Mattel have brought the male doll’s eye-popping ‘I Am Kenough’ hoodie to the real (patriarchal) world, depicted in the movie as the polar opposite of Barbie’s world. The colorful jacket is an exact double of the one in the much-acclaimed Gerta Gerwig film, even down to its sherpa texture.

At US$60, it’s the priciest item in the Ken collection—and yes, there’s a full array dedicated to this sweet but confused character. Though, it’s worth noting that it’s not the most expensive piece of Barbie movie merch rolled out by Mattel Creations—there’s a Barbie jean jacket worth US$125.
If, like (just) Ken, your personality and job are just “beach,” then you might be delighted to know that there’s a T-shirt version you can wear during fun days out on the sand.
